Isles of contentedness

Isles of contentedness
By: Rajbir Deswal

I like condensation,
Balling into a drop,
Dripping down demurely,
But shyly and, carefully,
Looking for some moments,
Of happiness and contentedness,
At a world of its own creation,
To be part of it,
Before creating a deluge,
Even out of the frozen glass,
At its outer bottom.
I am waiting for some corals,
To smilingly metamorphose,
Into a smile,
Showing up for miles and miles.
Smiles-miles.
Isles
Of contentedness
Of a life
Well lived.

  1. Loved the analogy of myriads of shades of life in a drop of water. Condensation to drop phase is similar to journey of life – maybe something like moving out from boundations to freedom. Contentment to me is in the moments of journey rather than at the end of journey when we look back to appreciate the well lived phase.

A mere drop talking about its experience to a condensed drop -

    Life is like a keep
    and death is my wife
    hard to escape both
    sun on my head
    time to evaporate
    but shyly
    drop by drop.
